Our Afternoon Programme for Lower Primary learners is designed to provide meaningful, enjoyable, and practical experiences beyond the regular classroom timetable. For learners in Grades 1 to 3, the programme is not about adding extra syllabus time, but about creating opportunities for children to explore, create, serve, play, and grow in a relaxed and supportive environment.
The programme includes a wide range of age-appropriate activities that support the holistic development of each learner. These activities are not limited to one area, but may include creative arts, craft work, colouring, pattern activities, storytelling, music, movement, guided play, teamwork tasks, practical life skills, environmental care, community service, and simple hands-on projects. Through these experiences, learners develop confidence, patience, focus, creativity, responsibility, and social skills.
Creative activities give learners the opportunity to use their imagination and express themselves through colours, patterns, shapes, and handmade projects. As they work with different materials, they strengthen fine motor skills, concentration, problem-solving, and attention to detail. More importantly, they experience the joy of completing something with their own hands and proudly sharing their work with others.
The Afternoon Programme also helps learners understand that learning goes beyond the classroom. Through simple community service and environmental care activities, learners are encouraged to take responsibility for their surroundings. Activities such as tidying play areas, caring for shared spaces, and keeping the school compound clean teach teamwork, respect, discipline, and the value of contributing positively to the community.
Each afternoon is planned to give learners a balanced experience that nurtures creativity, character, independence, and cooperation. Whether they are creating, playing, helping, listening, moving, or working together, learners gain practical lessons that support their growth both in school and in everyday life.
Our goal is to make every afternoon meaningful. An afternoon well spent is creativity well nurtured, responsibility well practised, and learning made joyful.
