Our House System
The house system allows our learners to have an opportunity to interact with others from all grade levels and increases opportunities for student leadership. It allows them to participate in a variety of activities that are non-academic and is a great way to know more people outside of the classroom setting.
Our school’s house system is designed to encourage community spirit and to develop friendships vertically across age groups. All learners once enrolled are allocated a House on joining the School. There are four Houses: Mt. Kilimanjaro(blue), Mt. Elgon(green), Mt. Rwenzori(yellow), and Mt Kenya(red), named after the four pivotal mountains in East Africa.
Learners are involved in House activities and competitions throughout the academic year, which gives them the opportunity to win House points. Houses come together at certain times to celebrate their successes, discuss plans, counseling sessions, and most importantly, have a bit of fun! At the end of each term, House Points are tallied to award the coveted achievement of Champion House.
Instilling Healthy Competition
We host a number of events throughout the year to exercise the enjoyment of friendly competition. These include; sports days, swimming galas, spelling bees, art and design challenges, plus specifically focused day events that curve their learning in new areas.
