Assessment is an important part of our learning process. It helps us understand each learner’s progress, strengths, talents, and areas that need support. In line with the Competency-Based Education approach, assessment is continuous, learner-centred, and focused on helping learners grow in knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes.
Learners are assessed through a variety of methods, including class activities, written tasks, oral presentations, practical work, projects, observation, portfolios, group assignments, and formal assessments. This allows teachers to monitor progress in different learning areas while also recognizing creativity, effort, participation, problem-solving, collaboration, and practical application of knowledge.
Our assessment process is designed to support learning rather than only measure performance. Teachers use assessment feedback to guide instruction, provide individual support, encourage improvement, and help learners take responsibility for their own progress. Parents are also kept informed about learner development so that school and home can work together to support every child.
Through continuous assessment, learners gain confidence, understand their progress, and are encouraged to keep improving. Our goal is to ensure that every learner is supported to achieve their potential and develop the competencies needed for the next stage of learning.
